Mitch Chevrolet/The Curse of the Werewolf

New Words: 1000
Total Words: 2500, plus most of an outline
Pages: 10
Reason for stopping: Quota, and I need to figure out how far the old police investigation of this multiple murderer (when did they start calling them serial killers?) went.
Stimulants: Teechino.
Exercise: None, I forgot and then it was time for dinner.
Words I'm surprised Word knows: n/a
Words I'm surprised Word doesn't know: n/a
Mean Things: Mitch met his ex-partner and an arrogant FBI agent. I don't know yet *how* arrogant this FBI guy will be.
Typo du jour: n/a
Darling du jour:

They had a standoff for a few seconds, his eyes and Billingsly’s, and Mitch decided to play it smart and lose.

Books in progress: The Four Feathers, Martin Gilbert's The Second World War. Didn't actually read any of them today, though. Instead, I watched the extended edition of Return of the King.
Books finished: No new finished books.
The glamour: Made dinner for my neighbor and watched a Doris Day movie with him. Also, baked banana bread, but I fiddled with the recipe too much and made it too dry. I think it'll go quite well as a base for vanilla ice cream. I've a few 'nanas left, so I'll try again later in the week and not tweak quite so much.

Shopping list:
vegetable shortening
pasta (4 boxes for $3! Go back and buy more!)
flour
sugar
maybe butter

Since I splurged on cheese at the farmer's market yesterday, I feel the urge to make homemade mac & cheese. God, doesn't that sound good? Joy of Cooking, as usual, as a yummy-looking recipe.
