I've just turned down a tres cool, educational, useful clinical placement with the law firm Kopelman & Paige in order to accept a tres cool, educational, useful clinical placement with the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office, Environmental Protection Division.

Sigh. I wish I could do both. The former was more municipal law, which is an area I definitely see myself going into, I really like all the town planning, and land use, and wetlands protection, and all that stuff that gets done at the level of a town or city. The latter is much more pure environmental law, they're the civil enforcement arm for the state. I figured, of the two being equally attractive, in the end I should choose the one I may never get to do again. (So much environmental law gets done in conjunction with other stuff.)

*snif* I'd regret, either way.

An A- in BizOrg and a B+ in Land Use!

*looks at screen* Wow. My lowest grade for last semester was a B.[*]

I cannot believe I got an A- in BizOrg. I totally bullshitted that final. I finished an *hour* before everyone else. (I'll tell you, now it's over: I kinda freaked some when I looked up, realizing I was 'done' and everyone else was...still writing furiously. I sat there and looked at the essay question again and thought, "what did I miss? I'm so screwed." Couldn't see anything. I hung out for an extra half-hour, I think, just trying to look busy/find something, and then finally took off.)

[*] Not saying it to make people feel bad! Just saying it.
This is good. Maybe I'll graduate...what is it, cum laude? One of those? That'd be cool. I was hoping I could keep looking good after last year's New England Scholar award. Might actually pull it off.
