Ladies in Lavender

I just watched a lovely little movie with Judi Dench and Maggie Smith called Ladies in Lavender. I'm in heaven. Dench's face in that Cornwall light. So, yes, jcortese, now that I've seen it I think I could consider Cornwall an acceptable substitute for Galway Bay. What a delicate, lovely, heart-rending little story. Charles Dance as director pulled no punches, but he wouldn't have had any to strike if it weren't for William J. Locke's original short story. I must read this author.
