Poem of the Day
Dec. 5th, 2011 01:44 pm"After She Came Ashore"
The moist voice
calls to the sand.
The mermaid voice
calls to the sand.
Mingling elements,
Earth and water,
Where the shore reaches
Up to kiss the ocean.
Fire and air,
Where the sun stretches
Down, stroking the sea.
The knife blade buried
in each step, cooled only slightly
By a poultice of love and seaweed.
The blue gaze of the sea catches,
The weight of the water
Tugs at the soul.
