Just bought a bunch of new hairpins

There's a type I like better than regular bobby pins (kind of U-shaped, with squiggly bits? does that make sense?), and I *just* stocked up, and I've got the wooden hairstick that jcortese gave me, and a couple barrettes that actually work for me to hold a bun/twist since my hair is so fine and look kind of cool that way,

so what do I find myself doing today?

Sitting at my desk, bending two large paperclips into hairpin-like shapes, and using them to put up my hair.

Because all of that stuff (not to mention my badge to get into the building w/o going through the security station), is in my pockets, in my trenchcoat, in my closet, in my apartment. Where I am not.

And? There's a hole in my purse.
