All of which involve wine, yet, I'm not really feeling like a lush. Progress!
Finished memo for M on Tuesday, and another for N today. Reading up on Katrina (Christ, just reading the Timeline appendix in Douglas Brinkley's The Great Deluge makes me cry. Where the fuck was the Louisiana National Guard? Iraq, baby., fucking 50% of them were in Iraq.) for my boss's OTHER presentation that needs updating.
Couple more memos due soon, so I'll probably do clinic-work this weekend if I can squeeze it in. Presentation isn't due until Nov 01.
Class. Another class.
Called various members of the local legal community and invited them to join us for "An Inconvenient Truth", here at the school. (Must remember to write press releases over the weekend, too.) And then there's setting up the NEXT event.
Two more job interviews for after graduation scheduled for Oct 27th. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (in Rockville, MD) and PIRG.
Land Court sent some stuff to us and it looks like the RIGHT stuff this time.
I need more professional clothes.
Environmental Moot Court problem has arrived, emailed it to everyone else. Have to start researching it Sat/Sun.
Still sampling all the different flavors of these raw-foods Larabars. That's my breakfast and lunch, quite frequently, and they seem to do the trick.
Read BEST essay in Due Process, possibly ever. Awesome. I'm so proud of Keith and Massachusetts I could just split in two. And then
feetmonkey knocks it out of the park with her editorial. God damn.
In other news, the fucking toilet overflowed. (Like you wanted to know that.)
Still have a couple Criminal Journal submissions to read, probably simply not going to.
Edited this evening, but didn't get through all of Prof B's (that's the author of the article I'm editing for the Journal) responses to last week's proposed edits. He's good.
Am now watching season 2 of The X-Files on DVD, and drinking wine, and that is that. (Watched Season 1 of Twin Peaks last weekend.) No mas.
