Halfway through!
Sep. 23rd, 2006 05:46 pmI'm processing all the citation-checking and proofreading today for the article I'm editing for the Journal. Just passed footnote 85 out of 170! Huzzah! The proofreading results I may save for during the week.
ETA: done now. I had to go through and check some quirks I wasn't aware of earlier (certain rules on indenting in blockquotes when you're quoting something that was its own paragraph in the original source -- yeah, my eyes crossed, too), fix one thing I got backward, and hopefully talk w/JG about what do we do with some gaps (the associate editor pulled the wrong source, a book never came in on inter-library loan, etc.), and then send this version to the author with notes about the biggest changes I made.
I spent more time on this today than I wanted to, but I'm pretty satisfied.
