Progress Notes July 22, 2006:
Pansy and the Horse
New Words: 600, plus a 2-page-ish incomplete outline
Total Words: 2000
Pages: 10 with the outline
Deadline: School starting in late August.
Reason for stopping: Got distracted. Still don't know what the end is about.
Stimulants: decaf
Exercise: Walking to the grocery store. (Not far.)
Words I'm surprised Word knows: n/a
Words I'm surprised Word doesn't know: surefootedly
Mean Things: n/a.
Typo du jour: n/a.
Darling du jour:
"...Staunch loyalty on the part of your father -- peasants are apparently incapable of true gallantry, the way he tells it -- and it'll take all night, and if he can he'll -- well, that's not for foal's ears."
Books in progress: Winston Churchill's History of the English-Speaking Peoples, vol. I. Ian Fleming's Thunderball.
Books finished: Elizabeth George's In Pursuit of the Proper Sinner, just finished yesterday. Before that was her In the Presence of the Enemy.
The glamour: printed a bunch of stories to send out.
Also, got my official transcript (2 copies) for my clerkship application, and have been looking for good legal writing samples to submit with it. My transcript tells me I'm in the top 25% of my class, cumulatively (so, across both years so far). Nice to know.
