Cool Meta-dreaming
Jul. 15th, 2006 05:45 pmDreaming that you're lucid dreaming. Now, *that's* whacky.
I don't think I was lucid dreaming, I think I dreamt I was lucid dreaming.
What's the diff? Hell if I know. But it didn't have the same feeling as when I do realize I'm dreaming. Anyway. There were bits with swooping into a bright light that can only be described as "Hey, man, you watch Stargate? Kinda like that, only not." And then being treated to some really nifty desert-esque landscapes, and a road that lots of people were walking on, and I -- since I thought I knew I was dreaming -- magically moved myself closer to our joint destination. You know, so I could bring my own chair without having to carry it. That kind of thing's important, you know.
I love shit like that. My unconscious brain is way more fun than the rest of me. My conscious brain just asks lots of questions about life and stuff.
And *then* I went back to the regular dreaming, with my brother and I trying not to miss a train, and there were all sorts of strange delays, including us falling in a river.
==
So that was yesterday's dream. Today's was also quite interesting, except now I can't remember it. But I did wake up saying, "huh, that was a weird one".
==
I must be going through a "cool dream" phase. Do other people do that?
==
In other news, last night I watched a truly *excellent* movie I checked out from my local library, called "Three Came Home", starring Claudette Colbert, based on the memoir of Agnes Newton Keith, an American who was imprisoned in British Borneo (her hubby was a Brit) during WWII.
I want to read her memoir.
