I'll be Glad When School Starts

Because I'll be busy. Being busy helps. Less time to sit and wallow in self-pity and feeling alone.
Papa's 'inurnment' - is that a word? did I just mishear something else? - is today, at 2pm. That's 6, for me, here on the east coast. Is it wrong to be glad that I'm not there, even though I also wish I were there?
I wanted to try and write something, to be read aloud on our behalf, but I couldn't. I couldn't think of anything to say. Olga Berggolts wrote no-one is forgotten, nothing is forgotten. So many are those that lie under the eternal guard of granite.
